We were thrilled to honor Lisa and Richard Oliver with the 2022 Cape and Islands United Way Visionary Award, honoring their long-standing commitment to the United Way and beyond. The award was presented at June 26th's Best Night fundraising event at the Pelham House Resort.
The Visionary Award was established to recognize individuals who “don’t see things are they are but what they could be.” The Olivers truly embody this statement in all they do, and have made an indelible impact in all the communities in which they live and work.
In addition to their decades-long support of the United Way, the Olivers have been involved in many nonprofits, serving on several boards while in Ohio and now on the Cape. Lisa serves on the boards of the Cape Cod Foundation and the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and as chair of the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod Charitable Foundation Trust, which she established in 2018.
This was the third annual Visionary Award presentation. Previous honorees were Tony Shepley (2020) and Shawn DeLude (2021).
