Together — with our donors, volunteers, partners, and sponsors — we work for a community where every child has an equal opportunity to thrive, every family has the resources to become self-reliant, and every person has a safe place to call home. The Cape and Islands United Way partners with more than 30 local nonprofits to fund programs that address these critical issues, making a positive difference in the lives of more than 50,000 people every year. Most of those funds are raised each year at Best Night.

2024 Visionary Award: Honoring Bert Talerman

In addition to delicious food and refreshments overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the evening will feature a live auction, raffles, and the presentation of our annual Visionary Award, presented this year to Bert Talerman.

Business executive, community volunteer, and a leader in Cape Cod philanthropy, Robert “Bert” Talerman will be honored as the Cape and Islands United Way’s 2024 Visionary Award recipient.

Talerman, president of Cape Cod 5, is being recognized for his long-standing commitment and impact with the United Way as well as numerous other nonprofits on the Cape.

Talerman will join business and civic leaders Tony Shepley, Shawn DeLude and Lisa and Richard Oliver as previous individual honorees.
